Aims and Objectives

To allow the student to acquire knowledge allowing him to establish an adequate relation with the healthy, sick and/or handicapped child, its family and the interdisciplinary team. It will lead the student to think of his own reactions and limits in various situations

Description

Recalls of the psychological development from the birth to adolescence in family dynamics: psychoanalytical and systemic approach

Reactions of the child and his family vis-a-vis to the disease, the handicap and death

Actual experience of the hospitalization: development according to situations suggested and/or observed by the students

The verbal and nonverbal communication with the healthy, sick and/or hospitalized child and its family:

· To learn how to observe: to see, hear, listen

· To learn how to say: importance of speech

Use of the means of expression of the child: plays, drawings...
