Aims and Objectives | You have to be conscious of the importance of respecting hygiene and security rules in laboratory. You have to learn attitudes and appropriate behaviours to prevent any risk.

Description | Notions of hygiene : definitions; epidemiology; intestinal flora; commensal germs; pathogenic germs; resistance; modes of transmission; prevention methods. Antisepsis and disinfection: definitions; general principles; the major families of antiseptics and of disinfectants; major applications. Prevention of the cross-transmission of infections: precautions, hands hygiene, use of gloves. RGPT - code of wellness at work - 1996's royal order. Security symbols (pictograms) used at work Chemical risks: risks related to the physical, chemical and toxic properties of products; the prevention of chemical risks; the labelling of chemical products; the storage of chemical products; the risks of ethidium bromide, acrylamide and liquid nitrogen; the types of fire extinguisher. Notions of biosecurity. |
