Aims and Objectives

This course aims to convey a sum of knowledge relevant to culture in general, and a method for humanist thought. To understand how the flutter of a butterfly's wings can result in an anticyclone is much the same as understanding how the invention of the ritual Mesopotamian calendar has led to the theory of relativity. Within the framework of educating information specialists, it seems essential  to apprehend the notions of evolution of scientific thought from a pluralistic point of view, without compromising with sound principles and with no preconceptions. Our view must be interdisciplinary and free from dogma.
