Aims and Objectives | Understanding and ability to use the mathematical notions and tools, which are the object of the course, including with a modern calculating package. |
Description | 1. Algebra: Orthogonalization of vectors. QR factorization. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Diagonalization. Hermitien and unitary matrices. 2. Calculus: Improper integrals. Expansion in power series. Functions of several variables (differential, multiple integral, extrema ). Line integral and Green Formula. 3. Applications, problems and exercises relating these subjects. 4. Laboratory with a modern calculating package. |
