Aims and Objectives

To make students understand in a more analytical, objective, critical, professional manner the social questions and realities as well as related social practices

Description

Selection of a social theme by groups of 2 or 3 students (if possible : students define the theme after questionning themselves; they become step by step aware of their biais and prejudices);

Realization of structured work (according to indications and instructions elaborated in class with the teacher) based on information research (library, Internet, audiovisual documents, …), meetings with specialists (fieldwork conversations) and visits of concerned field social institutions which may be made, in order to actualise professional approach of the theme;

Oral presentation of the work and organization of exchanges of ideas/debates with the class.
