Aims and Objectives

To know current and no complicated pathologies for the total taking in charge of a child requiring neither emergency care not care of reanimation.

Description

For all the affections quoted below , the following will be approached: etiology, (simplified) pathogenesis, the private clinic ( the stress is put on the criteria of monitoring of a sick child). The diagnosis is sometimes approached when the private clinic allows it, but the complementary examinations are reported only if the nurse takes part in it (example: urien analyse, test with insulin).

The treatment is described in its outline, while insisting especially on what requires the intervention of the nursing personnel (food, nursing, humidification,...). The stress is laid on what one should  not do without medical opinion.

Each chapter start with recalls of anatomy and physiology:

  • growth and its anomalies
  • food and its deficiencies
  • affections of the digestive system
  • affections of the respiratory system
  • the mucoviscidosis
  • diseases of the hematopoietic system
  • affections of the kidneys and the urinary tracts
  • principal neurologic affections
