Aims and Objectives

An application of the laws of electrokinetic’s in D.C. current. Transitory phenomena in RC and RL circuits. Circuits in sinusoidal AC single-phase current. Calculations of the circuits by the complex representation electric quantities.

Description

Potential difference and electrical current. Electrical energy and power. The law of ohm - exercises. Resistance, conductance, resistivity, supraconductivity, law of Pouillet, law of Joule. Groupings of resistances, current and tension dividers. Groupings of generators. Kirchoff’s laws, exercices. Theorem of superposition, exercises. Theorem of Thévenin, exercises. The condenser: charge and discharges, time-constant of RC circuit.

Inductance: current in a RL circuit, time-constant. The AC single-phase current: representation by turning vector, characteristics, average and effective values, vectorial representation of Fresnel, complex representations (polar and rectangular).
