Understanding and ability to use the mathematical notions and tools which appear in the course.

Description

1. Elements of Fourier Analysis: Fourier series and transforms, Fast Fourier transform, convolution. 2. Applications of Fourier analysis to the resolution of partial differential equations. 3. Matrices: complements. 4. Systems of linear differential equations. 3. Differential equations and partial differential equations: introduction to Finite element methods (Galerkin method) and to Variational methods.
