Prerequisite

Mathematical basis: trignonométric functions, exponential functions, functions of several independent variables, logarithmic calculation, derivatives and integrals.

Aims and Objectives

Assimilate the basic knowledge necessary for the understanding of the various technical processes involved in medical imaging.

Understanding the image formation and acquisition principles according to the technique used.

Integrate the different imaging techniques-specific knowledge to apply them in his daily practice and optimize his actions.

Description

Mechanics

Fluid Mechanics

Electricity (electrostatics, electrodynamics, electromagnetism, basic steps in dc signal analysis with the oscilloscope, semiconductors and diodes).

Theory of waves (wave motion, characterizing waves, wave phenomena, sound waves and Doppler effect, electromagnetic waves).

Ionizing radiation, detection and radioprotection.

X-ray imaging

Ultrasound and medical imaging applications.

Scintigraphy.

Elements of modern physics.

Imaging by nuclear magnetic resonance.
