Aims and Objectives

For each pathology quoted in the contents, to look further into anatomical and physiopathological knowledge, the indications and the procedures, to understand the post-operative evolution of patient after the cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery.

Description

For each chapter, an anatomical recall, the operational causes, symptoms, evolutions and indications:

Heart and mediastin

  • Traditional accesses of the cardiac surgery: procedure
  • Postoperational urgency : the tamponnade

Valvulopathy :

· Valvular prostheses

· Mitral Stenosis

· Mitral insufficiency

· Aortic insufficiency and stenosis

Aorta (aneurisms): ascending - transverse - descendant – abdominal aneurisms: procedures

The vascular peripheral:

· Atherosclerosis of the lower limbs

· Atheriosclerosis of the carotid

Thoracic

· Thoracic wall sternum, ribs, operatory techniques

· Lungs: contusion, hematom, operatory techniques

· Pleura : pneumothorax, hemothorax : operatory techniques

Aortic hysthmus: operatory techniques
